Affiliate Revenue – How to Maximize Affiliate Revenue Through Your Subscriber Base

You have a list of subscribers who read your emails everyday. They trust you. What a great place to earn a little income referring other people’s products.
So how do you maximize that affiliate revenue?
1) To start off with, your subscribers must really trust you. How do you develop trust? You must never send your subscribers anything but the very best. If you come across something that is not really the best, but you can offer it to your subscribers for free and you think they will like getting something free, do not send it. Only send the best! Your subscribers must believe that if you recommend something, it is the very best. Same goes for affiliate products. If it is not an exceptional product that has great value, do not promote it.
2) You must choose affiliate programs that have incredible products at incredible value. I say value here because a $100 book that is worth $500 in content has far more value than a $10 book that is worth $1. So value is not about price, it is about the price in relation to the actual value of the information. I currently sell a book for $9.77 that I truly believe is worth well over $100. That is value. Do you deliver value to your subscribers?
3) You must choose an affiliate program that has an incredible sales page that really converts. If you send targeted traffic from your list and the sales page is not converting at 1% or greater, you need to find another product to promote. 2% to 4% is even better.
4) Advanced technique here: Learn to send your subscribers a combination of free, low cost, and high cost products regularly. There are people who will only spend $10 at a time, and there are others who will not spend less than $50 at a time. Satisfy everyone’s needs.

Tips for Improving Small Business Sales

It is inevitable for a small business to experience a slump every once in a way. This is a natural process that, often, has no bearing on whether or not you provide great service and sales.

There are many factors that can cause your profits to decrease, including economic troubles. Very often, individuals are just not in the market to spend money, especially with threats like home foreclosures and bankruptcy.

If you carry a product or provide a service that is not likely to decrease in demand, then you should be able to make it through the market slump just fine. However, your odds will be better if there is not a lot of competition available.

Customers are usually looking for a way to get the best service or product for the lowest price that they can. Most individuals will sacrifice a little on the price if it means that they are getting good quality and what they want.

Therefore, make sure that your prices are adequate for the type of good you offer, as well as the competition that is available in your general area..Doing so can help you to stay above water and maintain or grow a good customer base.

When it comes to owning a small business, there is a constant threat for competition, whether accounts decide to switch to someone else or another type of situation occurs. The largest amount of pressure is usually transferred onto the sales team or system, because they are the individuals who are responsible for selling the product and expanding customer count.

If you have been having problems maintaining the profits of your small business, it may be due to the fact that your sales have slumped or you need to reevaluate your methods. Many different factors, like a lack of customer confidence or decrease in motivation and energy among staff can contribute to this.

This may be occurring in your business and you do not even realize it. Make sure that you are paying close attention to sales staff, as well as how customers are being treated and the type of comments and feedback that they offer.

When your sales start to dip, there are a couple of measures that can be taken to help improve your chances of success. If you have hit a slump, it may be necessary to go "back to the basics."

Make sure that you team understands the basic knowledge of sales and what makes an individual more and less likely to purchase an item or request a service. Are your marketing tactics proving to be successful or not?

Is lead generation creating more available possible clients, or is the system only providing empty leads? It is necessary to dig deep and find the answers to these questions.

You will also want to make sure that your team is aware of the clients' needs and what they are looking for. Understanding potential customers' wants is the best way to know how to sell them a product; if you are unsure about their motives for buying, you probably will not be able to convince them that what you are offering is the best choice for them.

If you find that certain customers are not putting forth the profits that are worth the time and effort you are putting into them, it may be necessary to cut them or give up. This can be difficult, as one always wants to remain close to their clients.

However, there may be others that are more worth the time and money you are willing to put into them that will repay you with higher sales and bigger profits. Those that are not willing to go the distance and make a deal or spend their money are somewhat useless to you as a business owner.

Obviously, these individuals still need to be treated with respect and courtesy. However, you may want to slowly hold back the attention you give to them and let it dwindle over a period of time.

Other ways that you can change your sales are by possibly altering your prices and finding ways to motivate and unite your team. The more effort you put into improving your methods, the better pay off you should experience and the higher profits you are likely to make.

Building An Affiliate Marketing Network

Monetize Website Traffic With International CPA Affiliate Network (vCommission)

Most everyone who discusses the merits of an affiliate marketing network likely focuses on the pay-per-click versus pay-for-performance aspects of this advertising tool, and rightfully so! Online these two programs alone have shown themselves to be the work horses of a successful and diversified affiliate marketing network while at the same time not demanding an undue strain on a company's promotions budget. Thus, start up companies in general and home based small business entrepreneurs in particular gravitate to this form of self-promotion like bugs to a strong light source in the dark of night. Yet just like the bugs, many of the smaller businesses get burned not because the product was unsuccessful or the presentation less than professional but instead because the interest simply could not be generated by the participants in the affiliate marketing network who chose to sign up.
In general, those signing up to post links and banners or search boxes onto their sites are looking for the heavy hitters which will lend credibility to the webmaster and her or his site, while smaller merchants are usually avoided because they simply do not offer that air of mainstream acceptance to a site. In the same vein, many of the webmaster who do sign up for the smaller business affiliate marketing network will most likely be startups themselves, thus in a way countermanding the business' efforts of reaching a large number of potential customers. Even though the money spent on this kind of advertising is low, it hardly merits the results that are being yielded.
Interestingly, a new trend is developing which is finding great acceptance with smaller businesses and which is proofing for be a money maker to such an extent that it threatens to leave the tried and true pay-per-click or pay-for-performance affiliate marketing network in the dust for home based entrepreneurs: classified ads. Building an affiliate marketing network via the classifieds may sound odd but the more careful attention you pay to this trend, the more sense it makes.
With a few words you have the chance to advertise your network and generate a far-reaching interest in the business. While not each and every online or print publication will permit you to post your ads, in general you will find that you can start getting out the word about your network by posting in a few free, online publications. Research the high traffic sites and post your ads in accordance with their submission guidelines - a much overlooked fact that may get your ad buried if not carefully observed! Use strong marketing words that require a response by the reader, such as "clicking" or "visiting" and rely on heavy hitters like "proven" or "guaranteed" - only if you can back up the claims, of course. Add a measurable and real benefit to the action, and the odds are good that you will have a visitor for your site. Turning the visitor into a qualified lead, of course, is up to the quality of your site and actual network.

What is Affiliate Marketing ?

"What is affiliate marketing?" We are all bowled over by the same question when we hear that people are making a huge amount of money in this field. We kind of get inferiority back when we see that people are actually implementing something that we haven't even heard of! So let's not stay ignorant any further and try and explore this mesmerizing field. Let's start from the basics.

Consider an example of a simple business 'A'. 'A' needs to advertise his products, so he convinces 'B', who knows a lot of people, to promote his business. In return, 'A' will pay him commission according to a bond they sign (it can be share per walk in, or percentage per customer, etc.). This was a simple example in layman terminology. To understand the basic of Affiliate Marketing, replace 'A' and 'B' by websites.

Website 'A' chooses website 'B' to advertise its products. 'A' can pay 'B' either through Pay-per-Click (for each visitor), or Pay-per-Lead (for each registration), or Pay-per-Sale (commission for each sale).

Now that we've understood the essence of Affiliate Marketing, another very common query that arises is that "How do I go about implementing it in my business"?

The first obvious step to do that would be, create your website.

Once you're done with that, you can choose out of a variety of choices available in the affiliate network. For example, search engine affiliates who essentially rely upon the Pay-per-Click commission, Retail sites that compare various products of the same category, booking a site exclusively for your advertisements, Review sites, Blogs and the list extents with your creativity and business thought process.

Being a business person, the next question that I would put forward is "How will it enhance my sales?" Visualize it this way, you have just built a website for your business and obviously, not many people know about it. Being a global business person you cannot call each of your clients to inform. That would not be a practical thing to do! Instead, hunt for a website that it already a hit amongst the internet surfers, and also use your business wit and look for sites whose contents relate to your product. This way, many people would be directed to your site, and in turn you would have to pay a minimal amount to the site.

Apart from the various promotion techniques that are available, why only Affiliate Marketing? The advertising techniques can be as many as you can think of. Promoting business is nothing but using your resources to the utmost. But then the question is "what are the reasons that Affiliate Marketing is such a hit"? This is so because; it is a "Pay per Performance" technique. You get pamphlets and hoardings printed, but you never know if you will have any walk ins or not. But in case of Affiliate Marketing, you pay only after you get a query or a customer!

Wishing you a very prosperous business!!

Internet Marketing - Simple Yet Successful!

Today, we live in a century, where it can be rightly said that we live, eat and dream internet. From a meaning lookup (i.e., dictionary reference) and recipe finding, to posting advertisements, Internet-ting world has made everything seem so easy! A survey conducted by the leading newspaper concluded that an average man spends around 3 to 4 hours daily for internet surfing. If this be the situation that every sensible business would like to promote his business through such a global platform, where not only is he more readily accessible, but also he can advertise and propagate his policies and schemes internationally with minimal cost! Who wouldn't be interested in such a deal? But, the catch lies in using your money efficiently.

A businessman spends a huge amount to get visiting cards, brochures, pamphlets printed every now and then, and then supposedly invests more money into their distribution et al. Such a highly complex publicity robs him off his hard earned money and yet gives him only regional publicity.
"So true! But do we have an alternative?" they quote.
I say, sure you do!

With internet marketing, all you need to do is, spend that money just once, when you buy your display space on the internet. That's it! You can put many things there. Past achievements, upcoming offers, company policy, etc. and you don't need to spend again and again as and when these change. You can simply over-write the old schemes with newer ones. Along with this, internet marketing also gives you international recognition without any additional costs. Whatever website you upload, is viewable all over the world. I'm sure now it does sound like a good and cost-efficient alternative!

Ecommerce, as internet marketing is popularly called, is becoming increasingly competitive because of the vast number of people the Internet can reach. Another factor is the ease of online marketing your business. Customers browse through your site, they don't only your company policies and upcoming schemes, they also browse through the product they want, click add to cart, pay in simple steps and reach at their doorstep very quickly.

That was something about how simple internet marketing is! Now let me tell you something about how to make it successful! Here are some tips for successful internet marketing, I call it successful marketing in Three Easy Ways.

Firstly, your web site should be appealing. The information on your site should be easy for people to read and navigate, and can be easily found, they will probably never for another similar alternative website. Invest not only money but time also for effective site development.

Secondly, research on the services available to you. It will help you to reach out to potential customers. Online advertising is a good suggestion, and knowing what to look for when doing so is essential.

Finally, spread your web-link to as many web sites as possible. Find other web sites that are relevant to your products, services and policies, and promote their web masters to link your site to theirs. This is an excellent way to advertise your site.

What is the Internet Marketing ?

Internet is a connection of computers across the globe. Or in simpler terms, it is a global network connecting millions of computers.

Internet is such-a-hit across the world that today an average man spends three to four hours surfing it daily. All you need to be a part of this booming technology is a PC and Internet connection. You can surf the Internet using any web browser.

The Internet was invented in the US for defense purposes. Initially, the Internet marketing was a connection of a dozen of computers in the ARPA (US defense) building and today it links millions of computers globally.

The main technical feature that leads to the success of Internet is that it is not a centralized controlled body. There are many servers distributed across the globe.
Other factors that attribute to its success are its:

1. Simplicity. To work on the Internet you do not need to be aware of its background details and complexities. You need not study the layers of the Internet, protocols, etc. that compromise the backbone of the Internet.

2. Speed. Sending messages, emails or cards is very easy and fast. Gone are the days when people waited for the postman to arrive and it took days to send messages to people. Today, with the help of e-mails and live chats one can instantly deliver his messages anywhere across the globe.

3. Efficiency. The quality and integrity of the message sent through the Internet is the same at the receiver's end as it was at the sender's end.

4. Economical. It is a common notion that the charge of message sends depends on the distance between the sender and the receiver and the length of the message. However, Internet nullifies both of facts as fads.

This may sound all good and nothing bad, and might render you scratching your head and wonder the catches in this chocolaty too-good-to-be-true image. There is one and that is the initial investment required to get the Internet connection. The money involved in getting the hardware (like the PC, the wiring, etc.) involved.

Internet - A Warehouse of Information

Cost Per Action Marketing Network

As wikipedia (read: online bible) rightly defines CPA "Cost Per Action or CPA (sometimes known as Pay Per Action or PPA) is an online advertising pricing model, where the advertiser pays for each specified action (a purchase, a form submission, and so on) linked to the advertisement."

CPA is the newest trend of Internet Marketing. Gone are the days when only a sale through your website could fetch you income. Now even if someone (through your website) enters just their Zip (postal) code, you can get paid for it. All you need to get started with this is find a CPA Network, sign up as a Publisher or Affiliate and you are good to go!

What to look for in a CPA Network:

1. It should not be niche based. I know, niche marketing is the best, but a network should not restrict the campaigns according to niche. For example, you have a technical blog today, you would need technical or computer related offers to market. Tomorrow, you might have a blog on finance, does this mean you have find a network that has finance offers? Certainly not! Find a network that does not restrict the campaign numbers or type and gives the Publishers variety of offers to choose from.

2. It should accept traffic from countries you promote. Most of the network these days are US/CA centric. They just don't like breaking away from the conventional market areas and exploring the huge income potential that lies in International market. Best keyword to search for here would be 'International CPA Network'

3. Dedicated Affiliate Manager. If you do not have an affiliate manager assigned to you, you would probably not succeed. Your affiliate manager guides you from time to time about the upcoming offers and also the best converting offers of the network.

How I Made My First $100 With CPA Marketing

Its been eight years now to my rendezvous with internet marketing. I have seen various trends come and go! While Google AdSense and CJ continue to be the rulers, there are various other earning programs that can help you cash your traffic!

With the web2.0 taking over the conventional website development and promotion strategies, CPA has huge potential.

You can promote email, zip or cell submits which pay up to $3 per action and in some special cases even more.

For example, I have a gaming website and I put a simple banner saying "you could win a free Nintendo Wii console. Enter your email to participate" This simple ad can get me at least 33 leads per day if I have 50 unique visitors to my website! If this offer pays $3 per email submit means I made effortless $99 in a day! It wasn't more than a month that I managed to hit the $3000 mark.

What I like best about CPA Marketing is that I get a variety of types to promote. Email submit, zip submit, cell submit, registration, first page filled, second page filled, per sale or sometimes even per click!

What I usually do is, choose a niche, setup a wordpress blog and place lots of banner ads in the sidebar and header area and even in the post. I promote different pages of that blog through PPC, which gets me targeted and quality traffic.

If you do not want to get into the hassle of building a blog at all, you can choose a network that allows direct linking to the offer page. Run a PPC campaign and send the traffic directly to the offer page!

Some quick tips:

1. Choose an international affiliate network. US/CA markets are more than saturated now. Pick up a network that can provide you other country options for a quick start.

2. Keep rotating your offers so that you can cash the regular traffic to your website more than once.

3. Do not think that email/zip submits are the only offers you can convert. Try registration and sale, they convert well too!

4. Stay in touch with your affiliate manager. (This is THE mantra if you want to do CPA for a long time)

This has two advantages. One you get to know what's converting best for other (top) affiliates. Second, you build a good rapport and they will only warn you and never ban you.

How Affiliate Marketing Works

Affiliate marketing is based on the promotion of e-business where an advertiser seeks to advertise or sell his products through one or more affiliate networks by rewarding them. It is basically a performance based online marketing program in which the merchants pay some commission to the agents, known as affiliates once the customers complete a specific action that was to be done.

Thus in simple terms, Affiliate Marketing may be explained as a tool of making money online whereby you are rewarded for promoting a business by promoting the experience, services, products etc of the advertiser. Commissions mostly depend on the sale of the product, but can also be a fixed pre-decided amount. Compensations are generally based on Pay-per-Visit, Pay-per-Lead or Pay-per-Sale, that is for each visit, a registrant or a commission for each customer or sale respectively.

Through the merchant's perspective, the most attractive point about Affiliate Marketing is that no payment is due to the affiliate till some results are shown. So the advertisers prefer affiliates as a way of promotion because they would need to pay only when the affiliates show some conversion. Through they eyes of an affiliate, it is a great opportunity to earn money online along with the freedom to own his/her business, which is not a very easy thing to do, but gets you real quick money if you handle the things perfectly and put in some effort. So if you are looking for a career while working at home, you can well become an Affiliate.

You as an Internet Marketer can promote other's business by creating your own blogs and commenting on other people's blogs, using social networking sites, making websites that provide information to the consumers and even by making videos and posting them on Youtube. If you go to the bottom of almost any of the websites, you would see a link for the webmasters or the affiliates. By clicking that link, you get in contact with the company and they provide you with a special link which specific to you. When a customer clicks your link and purchases something from that site, you get a percentage or a share of what the company has earned by through that sale. Till date, amazon.com's program has been the largest, there are many more programs though.

Affiliate Marketing is growing at the speed of light as it is a low risk business, still it has sky high potential and profits. It needs very less investment, rather most of the programs are free to join, and gets you high benefits. The good thing about Affiliate Marketing is that you can work at your own pace and will and can have your own space in the way you want to work. You can promote an article as much or as little as you desire. There are no restrictions, it is all up to you.

Marketing and Promoting Your Business Online

Marketing your products and services online can be highly rewarding. In these times of fierce competition between businesses, online marketing is one of the most effective tools to reach out to your target audience.

Online marketing is a great way to stay in touch with both existing and potential customers who search online on products related to yours. This is a superb business opportunity that you just should not neglect and what is best, it also comes at affordable rates. This kind of online affiliate marketing offers you the advantage of staying visible to your customers, informing them of your latest products and services, and earning their long-term loyalty.

You could also email regular posts to your customers in the form of newsletters, informing them of your business developments. A great way to catch their attention is to have a catchy and attractive subject line that will get them to actually open the mails. Many times people don't open their mails as they feel there may not be anything interesting. However if you make your mails look attractive, you are bound to get more visitors to your website. For example, if you are planning to give away attractive discount offers during a festive season, the subject line of your mails could read as "find out how to get the best spa deals this Christmas," or "50% off on all spa services this new years'." Email marketing is truly an effective way to stay connected with your customers.

Always keep in mind to script your ads/banners/emails in such a way that they sound crisp, clear and to the point. Keep them short and sweet, and they are sure to hit the target.

When you are marketing your business online, you do not need to spend time doing SEO and wait for it to reap results. You can make use of websites already running well and cash in their visitors, you just need to pay them (called affiliates) a small fraction of what you get.

Choose a CPA Network for Online Advertising

Finding a CPA Network that profits you the most is not an easy thing to do as it depends on a lot of aspects. In order to find the best of the networks, you would have to do a lot of research work to look for the company that you think would be the best for you, that is, you should be have the patience to go through a number of sites to get the best CPA network.

To make the work a bit easier, you may go through the affiliate networks that more successful CPA marketers are using. Make a list of all the networks that you think might be beneficial for you, and then short list them by further research. The best way to find out if the network is genuine or is not is by clicking the link to the site that those marketers are using. If the link forwards you to the Affiliate site, then it is all good, but if it leads to a site where paid reviews are listed, better not carry on with it any further.

When you are satisfied with the network that you have found, do a little more research on it before submitting your application just to eliminate the risks of any fraud. Ask for the advice from the successful marketers by visiting forums like digitalpoint or earners or visit some websites that might help you with the information about the company you are about to deal with.

One thing you should keep in mind is not to sign-up automatically. Contact all the short listed networks and ask them about the deal and their offers. Compare the information, and choose the most appropriate one for yourself.

After you have started working for them, you may ask for higher payouts if you have been doing well for them. Not much know about this, but it is quite possible. You can get it if you get nice number of leads for them. If they don't agree, you may anytime look for another network that pays you higher, having the experience you gained from the current cpa network on your side.

As this industry is growing, you can never be sure about any companies anymore. But a successful marketer is the one, who does his research well and knows about everything inside out. Look for all the possible information about the network that you are hoping to tie up with.

Why YOu Need to Join a CPA Network?

A CPA (cost-per-action) network means just what its name suggests. It is an Affiliate Network in which a commission of the sale is paid on the actions performed. These actions not only include sales or revenue sharing as in the case of other Affiliate Networks, but also getting a lead such as e-mail address, credit card number, telephone number or getting an order for the product, a sign-up or a download from the website.

CPA Networks have been very popular as a marketing tool.
